Brewing Iced Coffee for a Large Group |
To brew iced coffee for a large group (such as during an event or coffee hour)...
- Brew coffee at double strength (use half the amount of water for the same amount of coffee grinds).
- Let cool.
- Refrigerate half the amount (for example, about one gallon) and freeze the rest in a block form or in an angel food cake mold (the hole in the middle helps the frozen coffee keep its strength).
- On the day of use, place ice cubes in your dispenser, then pour in the refrigerated coffee, then place the block of frozen coffee on top. Stir occasionally.
- Have ice, milk, half and half, liquid sweetener and large cups available.
- Serve, feel refreshed!
