The successful applicant will become a part of our production team which seeks to be a highly effective and flexible team producing the finest coffees in the world. Job Description:
- Employment Status: Full-time, permanent position on worker-owner track
- Hours: 40-45 hrs per week
- Benefits: 100% health & dental premium coverage for employee + 50% for dependents, vacation, holidays, sick days, eligibility for worker ownership

Qualifications:
- Must love coffee
- Roasting experience highly desirable
- Experience in food production environment a big plus
- Mechanical/Electrical skills highly desirable
- Basic math and conversion skills
- Ability to solve problems
- Attention to detail
- Fanatic about producing a quality product
- Ability to create and adapt systems
- Computer literate
- Ability to lift 75 lbs
- Push/pull 1400 lbs using supplied equipment
- Frequent bending, twisting required
- Applicant must be able to stand for the entire shift
Responsibilities:
Roasting
- Staging green coffee to meet daily production schedules
- Batch roasting coffee to spec set by QC Manager
- Working with QC to adjust roast profiles and blends as needed
- Coordinating with packaging team to pack out roasted product
- Performing QC protocols as required by QC Manager
- Continual learning and experimentation for quality and process improvement
Inventory
- Coordinate the palletizing of floor loaded green coffee
- Entering green coffee into inventory systems
Packaging
- Packing cases on packaging line
- Palletizing cases as necessary
- Other tasks as necessary
Maintenance
- Periodic roaster cleaning
- Preventative maintenance of facilities equipment
- Other facilities management tasks as assigned by supervisor
Other
- Participate in Production Cuppings
- Attend staff meetings
- Participate in cooperative structure and processes
- Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor
