As a familiar face, your requests to your local businesses carry a lot of weight. Knowing you’re behind them and willing to be a partner in making a shift might be what tips the scale for them to offer Equal Exchange on their shelves or in their menus.

- A little thank you often goes a long way. Say thank you or write a thank you note the next time you pick up a bag or a mug-full.
- Create your own event by tabling at a local store that carries Equal Exchange. You help raise awareness, move more coffee for farmers, and support a local business that has made the commitment to offer Fair Trade to your neighbors.
- Ask if the business will be involved in any upcoming community events where you can help them serve and talk up Fair Trade to your community. We can send you a T-shirt to wear at the event!

We can send you materials to bring to them - on Fair Trade and on our various products – and we’re available to answer any tough questions they (or you) may have.
