Several of you have contacted Equal Exchange with great Fair Trade chocolate fundraiser ideas for Valentine's Day. Equal Exchange's Organic Dark Chocolate Minis are really popular this time of year. Paired with a card, these bite-sized chocolates make great Valentines for card swaps in the classroom. As a fundraiser, some groups sell them individually, 3 minis for $1, or packaged in bags of 10-15. Get creative and make your own gift baskets, or pair a bar of organic and Fair Trade dark chocolate with our Organic Love Buzz coffee! Since Valentine's Day is all about chocolate, it's a great time to educate your school or community about Fair Trade through a fundraiser. Create handouts or posters describing the practice of child slavery in the chocolate industry, and how Equal Exchange Fair Trade ensures no child labor was used in the making of chocolate.
