By
offering Equal Exchange fairly traded coffee, tea, cocoa, chocolate, and sugar
at your place of worship, home or office, you can share fellowship with
small farmers in Latin America, Africa and Asia, making a difference in
their lives while enjoying a delicious product. Through the program,
farmers earn a fair price for their products, receive affordable
credit, and gain a long-term trading partner that they can trust. By
pooling their resources in democratic cooperatives, farmers are able to
invest in training, health care, and agricultural improvements in their
communities. Every time you enjoy fairly traded products from Equal
Exchange you help farmers build better lives for themselves and their
families.
Fellowship Hour
For
coffee hour, our Fellowship Blends are ideal
for use in percolators. Our Organic Fairly Traded Teas and Hot Cocoa complement the coffee at coffee hour. For congregations that use commercial 12-cup brewers,
our pillow packs are specially prepared and measured to make one pot of
coffee. Smaller congregations or offices that use a home brewer may
want to try our Packaged Coffees in drip grind or whole bean. Our Organic Sugar Packets are perfect for serving with coffee after worship or at any event.
Office Coffee & Tea
For
offices that use commercial 12-cup brewers, our pillow packs are
specially prepared and measured to make one pot of fresh, delicious
coffee. For use in home or office, try our Packaged Coffees in drip
grind or whole bean. Our Organic Sugar Packets are great for office coffee service, too.
Holiday Bazaars & Fundraising
Our
packaged coffees, teas, cocoas and chocolate bars are also ideal for
fundraising and awareness-raising projects on issues of global economic
and environmental justice. For example, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in
Bridgman, MI, members raised funds for relief efforts in Nicaragua in
the wake of Hurricane Mitch. The Wayne County Peace Coalition in Ohio
used Equal Exchange coffee as a fundraiser to help build a clinic for a
sister community in El Salvador. And while they supported these special
projects, these congregations also helped small farmers earn a better
living and strengthen their own communities.
Buying Clubs
Members
of some congregations have joined together to form buying clubs so that
they can purchase coffee, tea and chocolate at wholesale prices for home use or holiday
gift-giving.
