Equal Exchange is seeking an Investment Coordinator responsible for raising equity and low interest debt from individuals and organizations interested in a high social value investment, and for maintaining strong relationships with investors.

Job Description:
- Full-time regular (exempt), worker owner track position (40-45 hrs/wk)
- Based in West Bridgewater, MA
- Salary: $38,000-$58,000, depending on experience
- Benefits: Health/dental/vision insurance coverage, vacation, holidays and sick days.
Qualifications:
- An interest in fair trade and the mission of Equal Exchange.
- Experience working in and with cooperatives businesses preferred.
- Strong written and verbal skills.
- Engaging, highly motivated and persistent.
- Team player, yet able to work independently.
- Problem solver.
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
- Computer skills including database management and spreadsheets.
- Basic understanding of corporate and cooperative capital structures.
- Ability to grasp and effectively utilize financial planning & management tools (P/L, cash flow, balance sheet, etc.)
- Willingness to travel.
- Ability to manage others.
- Familiarity with socially responsible investing field a plus.
- Ability to learn from others.
Responsibilities:
- Meet annual equity goals as negotiated with supervisor.
- Identify, meet in person or on the phone, follow up and close with prospective investors.
- Maintain timely communication with existing shareholders and lenders.
- Manage relationships with key external players, such as lawyers, state securities regulators, brokers, etc.
- Fulfill all legal/operational obligations associated with position (preparing of offering materials, filing with necessary regulatory bodies, accountability reports for lenders, etc.)
- Develop new and innovative approaches to raising capital.
- Potentially supervise assistant capital raiser/administrator and build a team.
- Other job-related responsibilities and projects as needed.
Personnel & Worker Ownership/Fair Trade Development
- Participate in staff, team, department, and educational (Exchange Time) meetings.
- Understand our producer partners, trading policies, and the Fair Trade movement.
- Understand and participate effectively in our worker cooperative model.
