Make your sale the best ever!
Step by Step
Plan: Determine what the purpose for your sale is, what your goals are and who is going to be involved. Set your sale date, an assembly date and recruit volunteers to help you.
Promote: Use the available outlets for information in your congregation, if you can. Bulletins, announcements, classes, meetings, large events and announcement boards are all good places to start. Give enough warning so that folks will come to your sale or event ready to buy.
Order: Place your order with Equal Exchange – don't forget to order item #45200 which is the bulk minis with the kit! Be sure to take into account warm weather and the 10 day turn-around time. You can also order additional free materials like brochures, stickers and posters.
Sell: On the day of your sale, create an attractive display with a colorful tablecloth, boxes or baskets for products, brochures and posters. Make sure you have enough time for set up and take down as well as plenty of help. If your sale is more popular than expected, don’t worry! If you run out of packages you can always take orders or set up another sale.
Remember: Most importantly, have fun! Talk with volunteers about what Fair Trade means and how they are part of a movement that connects with small farmers so they have an opportunity to improve the lives of their families and communities.
