On Nov. 16, our new 10,000 square foot warehouse in Portland, Ore., received a dedication from Peruvian coffee farmer and CEPICAFE co-founder Arnaldo Neira Camizan, during a celebration of the new office. Camizan was in town for a 10-day tour around the west coast with Equal Exchange.
The new location is nearly three times larger than the warehouse Equal Exchange had in Hood River, Ore., and provides a better location from which to take care of customers in the western United States.
In addition to providing plenty of warehouse space to ship 9,000+ pounds of Fair Trade coffee each week, the building also provides enough office space to conduct team trainings and coffee tastings. We hope to use the large back lot to host outdoor events for the public. If you're in Portland, don't hesitate to stop by for a cup of coffee and some chocolate!
