- 1/3 cup Equal Exchange Organic Baking Cocoa
- 4 tablespoons cooking oil
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 4 tablespoons Equal Exchange Organic Baking Cocoa
- 1 cup water
Combine oil, cocoa, sugar, salt and vanilla. Add flour and baking powder alternately with milk. Stir in walnuts. Pour into an 8 X 8 X 2" square greased pan.
Mix topping sugars and cocoa. Sprinkle over the batter in the pan. Pour 1 cup water over the top of all.
Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes or until center tests set. (This comes out looking like brownies with chocolate sauce.) Serve warm with plain cream or vanilla ice cream. Serves 8.
