In an exciting and path-breaking collaboration between longtime friends, Untours and Equal Exchange created Hal’s Blend, a new coffee to connect Untourists with small farmers around the world while raising money for the Untours Foundation.
Hal selected this balanced blend of light and dark roasts with a rich flavor and sweet overtones, which is now available at the Equal Exchange retail webstore or by phone.
“As a frequent traveler to Europe, I like my coffee to have character,” Hal explained. “This coffee has character in more ways than one. It has the full-bodied taste to go well with a Swiss kuchen, an Italian biscotto, or even a Czech palacinka. It also tastes better than a standard gourmet coffee because I know that the farmers who grew the beans are getting a fair price through a committed partner, Equal Exchange.”
Hal’s Blend comes in cases of four 14 oz. canisters of whole beans with Hal’s picture on the front and the story of Untours on the sides. With each case you purchase, $8.00 will be donated to the Untours Foundation.
